Around 8,000 WYD08 volunteers helped thousands of pilgrims enjoy the activities of WYD08 as well as help Sydney celebrate the arrival of the Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI.

Volunteers made up the majority of the workforce and played a vital role in ensuring pilgrims were well looked after during WYD week.
