Southern Cross Precinct Sunday 20 July is World Youth Day!

Randwick Racecourse & Centennial Park (also known as The Southern Cross Precinct) are the venues for the Final Mass.

The Pope will preside and preach at this high point of celebration for what promises to be the largest gathering of people in the history of Australia. English and a little Latin will be used in the Mass setting.

The Papal flyover, followed by a motorcade will commence from 9am. The Final Mass will be celebrated by the Pope will start at 10am at Southern Cross Precinct, with the announcement of next host city at 12.15pm.

You should arrive early. The best way to travel to the Final Mass is via public transport. Note there will be an unprecedented number of people travelling on the day, so leave home early and allow yourself 2-3 hours to get there. \

Pilgrims and HomeStay hosts get priority access into Randwick Racecourse, with some space for the general public. Please go to the event planner for more information.

Following the Mass, Youth Festival events will commence (12.30-5pm) at both Randwick Racecourse and Centennial Park.
